La Cueva cheerleaders asking for donations to ship to households affected by wildfires



ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The La Cueva Excessive Faculty cheer program noticed a name on social media from Mora Excessive Faculty cheer asking for provide donations as crews battle the Hermits Peak Calf Canyon fire. So, the group began a drive and have seen an outpouring of help from La Cueva athletes and the college neighborhood.

They plan to drive all of it north as quickly as situations are deemed secure. “When you’re faced with adversity and hardship, you really look toward your community to support you, and their community is in distress right now and our community has the resources to be able to support somebody else,” stated Daniele Knee, La Cueva head cheer coach.

The group might be at La Cueva once more tomorrow, April 29 accepting donations from 10 a.m. to midday. They are saying there’s a specific want for bottled water, blankets, and animal carriers.
