3-night Brooklyn live performance occasion helps Ukraine

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Some artists in Brooklyn are speaking their hopes and fears concerning the battle in Ukraine by music and artwork.

It was curated by Alex Pryrodny, a composer who moved to the US when he was 16 years previous. He additionally had help of Soapbox Gallery proprietor Jimmy Greenfield.

“Currently, my hometown is occupied by Russia,” Pryrodny mentioned. “The first piece is dedicated to that. We want to show people the history, the depth and variety of culture.”

The present ran Thursday and returns Friday and Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. Greater than 20 artists will take part throughout the evenings.
